Nervous Patient Care
At Impressions Dental Care in Doncaster, we have a special interest in the provision of care to patients with dental phobia or dental fear.
What Will Happen on My First Visit?
This depends on your level of anxiety, for many patients with dental fear going into a dental surgery on their first visit, in an already unfamiliar environment can cause anxiety, so we ask patients if they would like to come along to the practice before hand, to meet the team in a non clinical environment. In many instances patients prefer to initialy speak with us over the telephone, until they are confident enough to visit us at the practice.
For patients whose level of dental fear will allow them to go into the the surgery on their first visit, we will carry out a new patient consultation, during which will include an extended dental examination and digital X-rays if necessary.
We ensure that you have plenty of time to ask as many questions as you like, we will take things at your pace and only carry out treatment when you are ready. Following your appointment if any further questions come to mind, just give us a call and we will of course be more than happy to answer them for you.
How Much Will The Consultation Cost?
It is important to us that you are comfortable with the practice and your dentist before you book and pay for an appointment, so the initial consultation in a non clinical environment, is free of charge. After this, the cost of a new patient examination is £49.95. This price includes X-rays, treatment plans and estimates. Following your new patient examination, if you require any treatment, we will provide you with detailed treatment plans and estimates for your consideration.
Can I Visit The Practice Before I Book an Appointment?
Of course, you are very welcome to visit us at any time to meet the staff and have a look around. We have a relaxing consultation area where you can sit and have a Tea or coffee with a member of staff who will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
